In 2005, Shelley launched her first mental health practice, which has since evolved into The Support Hub. The Support Hub is an established, multi-disciplinary boutique practice, with a passionate team of highly trained clinicians. Shelley has been a mental health professional since 1996. She is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a graduate diploma in Clinical Behavioral Sciences, who has also received the designation of Accredited Family Mediator (AccFM).
Following her studies, Shelley worked at the Francophone Community Health Centre, providing education and counselling for survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. Early on, she spent a year in California researching leading experts on the effects of separation and divorce on children.
Shelley had a high degree of knowledge around behavioral and mental health treatment programs for struggling preteens and young adults. She provided consultation for families about residential treatment centers and therapeutic boarding schools in Canada and the United States.
Following her studies abroad, she was invited to be an instructor at McMaster University in a continuing education program, reaching family dynamics.
Shelley then founded The Support Hub, with the intention of providing support and a safe space to those who need it. Since establishing her practice, it has continued to grow and thrive.
