Depression

Depression varies from person to person but there are some common signs and symptoms. Symptoms can include persistent sadness, anxiety or empty mood, feelings of guilt, helplessness, difficulty sleeping or insomnia, early morning awakening, difficulty concentrating and difficulty making decisions. If untreated, depression will become more serious and it will return. Whatever the symptoms, depression is different from normal sadness and can interfere with day-to-day functioning. The first step to recovery is understanding and acknowledging the problem and learning approaches to help the one suffering with depression to feel better.
